95% of You Will Ignore This 2018 Marketing Strategy

So what is the secret? What is the most tragic mistake a new marketer almost always makes?  Read here to find out.  Leave a comment below to let me know what y ou think of this article.

The Most Tragic Mistake a New Marketer Almost Always Makes
By: Richard Meredith

So... you're a new marketer, and you want to make extra money or even perhaps a great living! One of the first things you do is join an affiliate program or downline club of some sort. Or maybe even you are trying your hand at Ebay or another auction service by marketing some nicely profitable product. Now, once you have some sort of online business vehicle, your mind must gravitate to exactly what kind of advertising to generate sales or memberships.

Online business is an awful lot like regular advertising. What draws you to a business in your home town? Coupons? Specials? Give-aways? A personal recommendation from a friend or trusted associate?

Oh yes - and here is a little secret that is often not known or ignored:

When it comes to building any kind of business online you do the same thing! Give away a free report, an informative ebook, a trial software, an online course, or maybe a subscription to a free newsletter or ezine. This is just simply the way it is done with online business, period. But here is the most critical part... you MUST capture the name and email address FIRST before you give access to it!

It is widely known by all of the top marketers online that your PRIMARY task to be successful is to compile a list of people (prospective customers) that are interested in the type of thing you are giving away! This is so easy to do with an autoresponder. They just fill a form, and they are automatically added to your list, and then are redirected to your download page or membership site.

Then the next task is to automatically send a series of messages with that autoresponder that tell more about the reasons why your product or products (or membership program) are BENEFICIAL to them! WHY? Because it is infinitely better to contact a prospect several times rather than only once. It is a proven fact that most people will NOT buy from you or join your program until they have been approached at least 5 to 7 times. This is done as I said, automatically, on a timed basis slowly tapering off until it is a slow drip of messages until they buy or join- or unsubscribe from your list. And when you run special promotions of any kind, a feature of the best autoresponders allows you to broadcast to your entire list any time you want. This is how many marketers can make huge amounts of money and sales ON DEMAND- whenever and as often as they like!

Details about which autoresponders are best, and the techniques of developing a list and how often to mail to that list are subjects that deserve more time and attention than can be given here... but suffice it to say that if YOU are not FIRST developing a list, and then marketing to your list AFTERWARDS- you're just missing the boat!

Pure and simple!

So if you are advertising an affiliate link, or your products' sale page... or anything other than your free subscription, report, ebook, or course - it can indeed be the most tragic mistake you can make in your online business strategy!

If this is you, pull back and regroup, and completely re-think your marketing strategy now before you lose too much time, money, energy, or motivation.

And remember... BUILD your LIST!

9 Ways to Make Money Podcasting

Following on from yesterday’s article here is more info on podcasting monetization strategies.  Let me know what you think with a comment below.

Podcasting Monetization Strategies for Marketers
By: Rok Hrastnik

With the growing popularity of podcasting, publishers and marketers around the world are asking themselves how to monetize this content channel.

Today we'll be taking a look at how marketers can monetize podcasting through enhanced marketing activities.

While publishers might find it relatively easy to integrate podcasting in to their business models without really "creating a revolution", the opportunities for marketers really go beyond traditional marketing tactics.

To understand the opportunity we need to understand what podcasting brings to the marketing table: the power of voice, delivered directly to our prospects, customers, employees and partners.

While text might still be the most "usable" format and the easiest to consume, voice itself has the unique feature of being able to express emotion and bring personality in to marketing communications.

For marketers, monetizing podcasting won't come through ad sales or content sales, but through opportunities to enhance their marketing communications with the power of emotion, delivered directly to their recipients.

Here are just some possibilities for you to consider:
·         PR: Audio press releases, messages from company executives, expert interviews and other industry related material, all delivered directly to the media.
·         Direct marketing: Sales letters and other ad creative, delivered in audio and directly to your prospects.
·         Customer Relationship Management and User Support: Personal messages and greetings from company executives, persoanlized messages to key clients by key account managers, educational content and industry interviews, seminar or conference recordings, product support information and tutorials
·         Promotion: Achieving additional company/brand/product exposure by providing podcasts and promoting them via podcast directories and search engines.
·         E-commerce: Audio product announcements and presentations, delivered to prospects that opt-in to receive latest product information. In the case of audio products, podcasts can also carry short excerpts or previews of new editions, thus enticing prospects to order.
·         Branding and Prospect Conversion: Educational content and industry interviews that help shorten the sales cycle or generate/improve company credibility and enhance its brand.
·         Advertising in third-party podcasts
·         And so on ...

In these examples monetization does not come through directly generated revenues, but indirectly through improved sales.

Joe Rogan Experience #910 - Gary Vaynerchuk

What to make of podcasting?  Have you thought about what Podcase marketing can do for your business?  It has been said that podcasts now replace radio.  Gary Vaynerchuk is a master of podcasting and gives so much value in what he shares so I found this video where 1.4 million others seem to want to hear what this podcasting giant has to say.  There is a massive audience you can reach out there with podcasts as part of your marketing strategy.  Read on and find out more.  Let me know how helpful you find this article with a comment below.

Business Podcast Marketing Case Study Proves Results
By: Rodney Rumford

Business Podcast Marketing Case Study Shows How Podcasting Delivers Dramatic Results for Client. Podcasting has significant business marketing potential. If the business podcast strategy and online visibility plan is properly executed; podcasting has the potential to be a marketing tool that delivers great marketing results.

The professional business marketers over at marketingsherpa.com have just released a new case study titled "How to Use a Podcast to Promote a White Paper That Generates New Business Sales Leads". This case study is about how Bearing Point used podcasting to promote a white paper and saw sign up rates of over 30% versus a traditional 10%. This is a 200% increase over traditional marketing techniques.

Here is a short excerpt: "Dunay wasn't sure if the podcasts would be a hit or not, especially as his key prospects tend to be fairly conservative. So he didn't roll out trumpets and strobe lights for the launch.

Instead, the team posted the podcasts and announcements at several related sites including Podblaze.com, FreshPodcasts.com, and iTunes (all of which currently promote podcasts for free.) They also rolled out a press release and an email announcement to the house list. Their first podcast launched quietly July 29, 2005.

RESULTS
Joy and exultation! Hundreds of executives downloaded the podcasts. Dunay had hoped that 10% of podcast listeners would respond to the white paper download offer. Instead, 30% did..."

This is a great example of how marketing professionals should and could be using podcasting to help their business. This is the future of podcasting, Podcasting is going to become a marketing tool that communicates, educates and drives listeners to action. In this case the action was to download a white paper and effectively generate leads.

I have been trying to inform the business markets of this trend for the past 9 months. I discussed this very scenario in a Podcasting White Paper that was released a few months back. Read the full case study at MarketingSherpa.com

Experienced online marketing professionals that have expertise in the areas of podcast production, strategy, and visibility such as www.LeveragedPromotion.com can help your business achieve these same levels of results. Just creating a podcast in a vacuum of space is the wrong strategy. Make sure that you achieve maximum exposure for your podcasts so that they can deliver measurable marketing results.

How to Make Passive Income Online (3 Legit Models From Someone Who Made $5+ Million Online)

If you are looking for ideas for making money on the internet Sean Gum has written a great article on 3 business models for how you can do that.  Let me know what you think with a comment below.

3 Business Models For Creating Wealth On The Internet
By: Sean Gum

The Internet has the potential to make you rich! I am sure you have heard it over and over again. Everybody knows you can get rich using the Internet, but how?

Over the last 8 years, I have researched hundreds of Internet business opportunities. I have purchased dozens of Get-Rich Information packs. I have listened to over 100 audiobooks on how to prosper using the Internet... I've been to countless seminars, some costing as much as $3,400 to attend! And I've tested all the tips, tricks and techniques to find out what works and what doesn't.

What I discovered was that there are three distinct business models that you can use to create wealth with the Internet. I've used all three to create an income stream of over $1 million dollars per year.

And I do it all from the comfort of my home, with no employees.
Would you like to learn how?

In this article I will give a brief overview of each of the three business models. Then, in upcoming articles I will discuss each model in greater detail along with direct links to resources I have used that are working for me RIGHT NOW!

*** ONE SECRET That All 3 Models Have In Common ***
As you learn about all of the models, you will notice one thing that they all have in common. That one thing is called "leverage."

What is leverage?
J. Paul Ghetty once said, "I would rather have 1% of the efforts of 100 men than 100% of my own efforts."

J. Paul understood leverage. Some of the models that I will present will leverage the efforts of hundreds and even thousands of other people to produce an income for you.

In other business models we'll use computers and technology to create leverage.

In either case, leverage allows you to earn money while you sleep, while you vacation, while you spend time with your family.

Leverage is the secret to financial freedom!

*** Business Model #1 - Network Marketing ***
Network Marketing, or Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) has bloomed into a multi-billion dollar business. Even with all of this success, we still run into people today that call it a pyramid-scheme.

Network Marketing allows you to start a business at home that is similiar to a franchise. However, there is no franchise fee of millions of dollars. Instead, you pay a small entry fee, some as low as $35 to become a distributor. However, you get the backing of a major corporation to support you and to help you build your own home business.

You also get the opportunity to go International with your home business with some network marketing companies reaching into 60 or more countries!

MLM has come a long way, baby!

The unique thing about Network Marketing is that your upline is actually motivated to help you succeed. (Unlike a BOSS who doesn't want you to know what he knows - or you'd take his job!)

I have been (and still am) involved with 3 different network marketing companies. I will tell you about the good, the bad and the ugly in an upcoming article on Network Marketing.

*** Business Model #2 - Affiliate Programs ***
Affiliate programs have become very successful over the years. In fact, we started our own affiliate program several years ago, and saw it grow to over 3,000 affiliates in less than a year.

Basically, affiliate programs are ways that you can promote somebody else's product or service and get paid for it.

This is usually done by a banner ad, or announcement to a customer or other specialized list.

If you currently have a high traffic website, you should be participating in at least several different affiliate programs. Nowadays, there are networks of affiliate programs that take the threat of not being paid out of the picture. (It used to be a problem when everyone was running thier own.)

If you have a lot of time on your hands, and no money at all to get started in Network Marketing, than this is a great option to start out with.

I will tell you where to find these networks and how to get started in an upcoming article on Affiliate Programs.

*** Business Model #3 - Information Marketing ***
This is the model I am currently using to build my next million dollars, while my business partner spends his time building our Network Marketing businesses.

What is Information Marketing?
Basically it is taking something that you love doing and writing articles, ebooks and even creating teleseminars and live seminars.

It might sound like a lot of work, but you start small and work your way up.

I will be showing you how EVERYBODY has at least one special skill or ability that can be turned into an ebook and sold online. Really!

I recently attended a seminar that cost $3,400 to attend. This 3-day seminar was packed full of hundreds of tips and techniques to build an Information Marketing business.

I will be passing what I learned onto you through several upcoming articles.

All of the business models that I have presented have the power to create six and even seven digit incomes in as little as 9 months!

I will go into *much* greater detail on each of these three business models in upcoming articles on each one. I will also be providing updates of current progress to those of you on my mailing list, so be sure to join!

God bless

5 Hot Digital Marketing Trends to Help You Finish the Year Strong – Part 2

If you are wondering what current digital trends you want to keep up with as we head towards 2019 take a look at this article by Dale Harris.  It’s in 2 parts.  Yesterday part 1 looked at trends 1 and 2.  Welcome back today for trends 3-5.  Make sure you are making the most of any new opportunities out there to smash your marketing goals.  Let me know what you think of his article with a comment below.
5 Hot Digital Marketing Trends to Help You Finish the Year Strong – Part 2
2018 was an exciting year for the world of digital marketing, bringing new innovations in automation trends as well as continuing the shift toward a mobile-first market.
But the new brings new opportunities for you and your team to smash your marketing goals.
Wondering what the new year will bring? Here are a few of the hottest marketing trends you have to look forward to in 2019.
3. Invest In Video Marketing Trends
A reliance on video marketing is becoming increasingly important, particularly on social media platforms.
An analysis of current marketing trends would indicate that even a small investment in video marketing can become as important to your strategy as a blog or copy.
Customers spend about six hours per day engaging with video content on a daily basis, so strike now while the iron is hot.

4. Social Media Messaging As A Customer Service Platform
When a problem arises, customers are going to do everything in their power to reach your company. These days, one of the best methods of contact is social media.
It’s time to get into the habit of checking your social media profiles more often. Make sure someone monitors your pages at least once or twice per day so that you don’t miss a message from a customer.
5. Mobile Will Dominate Desktop
Of all the current marketing trends, this is perhaps the least surprising. As 2018 exits and 2019 enters, the mobile experience will only become more pertinent to consumers.
Make sure you’re anticipating their needs. Ensure that your website scales to mobile and that your mobile site has 1:1 parity with the browser experience.
With thousands of apps downloaded each and every day, now is also a great time to invest in apps if you haven’t already.
These Marketing Trends Will Help Your Business Finish Strong
To wrap things up, 2019 won’t look terribly different than 2018. Expect an increased focus on the customer experience in both content and customer service.

5 Hot Digital Marketing Trends to Help You Finish the Year Strong – Part 1

2018 was an exciting year for the world of digital marketing, bringing new innovations in automation trends as well as continuing the shift toward a mobile-first market.
But the new brings new opportunities for you and your team to smash your marketing goals.
Wondering what the new year will bring? Here are a few of the hottest marketing trends you have to look forward to in 2019.
1. Content Over Ads
We tend to romanticize the old days of marketing. From full-page magazine ads with elaborate artwork to ridiculous radio spots, advertising used to be a one-way channel with the consumer to the customer.
But times have changed, and you’ll need to change with them.
It’s still possible to reach consumers, but your methodology will need to shift drastically. Stop talking to your customers and talk with them.
Advertise through content like blogs, videos, and social media posts instead of relying on dying methods.
2. Automation Will Continue To Rise
Automation was one of the biggest trends this year, saving companies and customers alike time and money. If you haven’t already come up with a marketing automation strategy, there’s no better time than now.

Think about ways in which you can use automation to simplify the customer experience. Doing so will result in more customer trust, and in turn, stronger customer retention.
